Nobody orders me for example to go to the church or to obey the Ten Commandments or the Chief Commandments of the Church. But if I want to go to the church (for example I feel the need to do that because I believe that it is morally good) and somebody prohibits my religion and forbids me to follow religious observances - that's a violation of freedom. The law allows others to be free of those who seek to harm society. We are certainly not free to do as we choose. Imagine the chaos that would cause. Certainly a belief in God sets you free to serve.
