Consider this sentence :

Many a fine tune has been played on an old fiddle."

Can we use it in this sense - ie to generalise it...:

Many a fine tune CAN BE played WITH THIS old fiddle."

Exactly, I'm an Indian.

Meanwhile, how about the first sentence. Is it Ausntralian language?

Hi Praveen,

This is called "Strine", which is Australian slang.

Strewth, mate. You must think I'm some sort of galah! I reckon the thread you suggest would be ridgy-didge. Maybe you should start with the sheilas, 'cos that would be about as popular as a blowie at a butcher's barbie! You'll get so much response you'll feel like a rat with a gold tooth.

Goodness me, you ust think I'm stupid! I think that the thread you suggest would be a great idea. perhaps you should start with the women because that would be as popular as a blowfly as a butcher's picnic. You'll get so much response, you'll feel like a very important person.

You mob migaloos or what? Nah...just gammon.

"Are you all white people or what? No - I'm just joking"

I'm migaloo, mate - no gammon;

I'm a white woman, friend; I'm not joking"

Better you communicate in Engish, so that others can understand them!

Quite right, Praveen. Sometimes it's fun to joke. Smile [:)]
