How it was in REAL... Stick out tongue

A translation of the two phrases:

Mr Bush to Yushchenko & Saakashvili: "Now you are real cowboys!"
After shooting into the bear, Saakashvili to Yushchenko: "Have you taken patrons??" Yushchenko's reply: "I haven't!"

"Russia now stands for the INTERNATIONAL DISCUSSION of the status of these republics." (Dew 2007's message from August 23, 2008, 12:32 PM in the thread "US Intervention")
"Russia recognizes South Ossetia and Abkhazia as sovereign states" (Reuters, August, 26, 2008, [link] - though I hate their emotional expressions)
What kind of DISCUSSION do you mean, Dew? Is this the Russian style of it? (And please refrain from referring to what America did previously)
Grrr, I am mad about itAngry

P.S.: It's Lawyee, by the way. I can't seem to log in. Grrr for the second timeAngry This is surely conspiracyStick out tongue

Edited to make the link work. - Mod.

It was said in the six points signed by Medvedev ans Sarkozy and this point od discussion was rejected by the UN. They didn't want to discuss the matter.

In this case do you see any other way of settling the matter? I don't. If noone listens to Russia's words, do you think it should stick to this opinion? If you follow the evnys closely, you know whta I mean.

Lawyee, calm down. Smile

I remember one of Medvedev's most recent interviews where he stated that status of South Ossetia must be established in accordance with Ossetian people's will (did you see that interview, btw?).

There was a referendum in 2006, November 12, where 99% people of South Ossetia voted for independence. For some reason, the international community rejected this.

Now people of South Ossetia got what they have wanted for a long time. Why aren't you or the international community satisfied? Or isn't the will of people the clue of democracy? Stick out tongue

I am just wondering whether you are the same Russians (or your government) who strongly protested against unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo. I am just wondering what do Serbians think about this "betrayal" (may it sound too strong) of their denial of unilateral declaration of independence by their "protector" Russia.
It is clear to me that Russia is more concerned about its national issues than about international law, cooperation between Slavic nations or whatever else we heard from them few months ago.

You must confess that in this matter Russia is no better than USA that you frequently use as a point of comparison

The US taught the world what to do. we are good students. But perhaps you are right... I feel like we betrayed the Serbs when Russia withdrew from there leaving them to face the democratic  genocide. There were too many mistakes that had been made...

Oops, I've edited the post above. Anyway.

The "international law" has double standarts. What standart are we now talking about? The part that is fine for the west or the part that is fine for all the other countries? Smile

Personally, I often use the USA as a point of comparison just to show that the international law is simply dead (as well as democracy). I don't imply Russia is better or worse than other countries.

(By the way, who do you think are native inhabitants of Kosovo land?)

I feel like that too...
