There is live show on Fox News and it's named "Geraldo at Large." What does the title mean and imply? Thanks.

Geraldo Rivera is a well-known TV journalist and talk show host.  I guess the "at large" part in the title of the show is supposed to suggest that Geraldo does his show from a variety of locations.  Since Geraldo tends to be quite controversial and divisive sometimes, I guess the implication could also be that "he is a bit like a criminal that has been set free on an unsuspecting public". Surprise [:O]

I have never watched the show, though, so I'm really just guessing. Wink [;)]

Thanks, Yankee, for the clear and beneficial reply.

I get the picture now.

By the way, just to make sure, what do you mean by the line in bold?  Does it mean Geraldo tends to be quarrelsome and divisive or his show controversial and divisive?

Hi Angliholic

Geraldo often has very unusual opinions (controversial).  It is Geraldo himself who seems to adore quarrels, controversy and, perhaps most of all, the spotlight. Wink [;)]
