Hi,

Help required with the following:

What does the phrase GET WITH IT mean here?

"Get with it."

"Millions of galaxies
of hundreds of millions of stars
and a speck on one in a blink."

"That's us. Lost in space."

Thanks.

Here, 'get with it" = understand. In other contexts, it can mean 'get fashionable, catch up with the conversation, join in the activity' 'Get with' = join; 'it' = whatever the topic is.

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master-- that's all.'
