Hi there,

I have some questions like these :

In USA, If I'd like to change from a bill of 100 USD to 5 bills of 20 USD and from 1 dollar to 4 quarters (Can I change some quarters ? Is it ok ?), how can I express them ?

I used the phrase a bill of 100 USD or a leaf of 100 or a sheet of 100 usd or an 100 USD or ?

Is it okay ? Is there any other way to say ?

And one more thing that : exchange and change. Which one should I use in this case ?

Thank you so much......

Hi Anon,

When you reply, I'm going to move this to the vocabulary section, okay?

Here are some idiomatic ways of asking:

Can I change this hundred into five twenties, please? Can I get five twenties for this hundred, please?

Can you break this dollar into quarters for me? Thanks.

Can you break this twenty into some smaller bills for me, please?

You have a hundred dollar bill, but it's commonly just called a "hundred."
