In what context have you heard it Mira? Sometimes it is used as rhyming slang meaning "phone somebody"

Wink [;)] When I was in York (UK) it was the name of a shop, and I wondered what is it

Reminds me of a song I learned as a child:

This old man,
he played one;
He played knick-knack on my thumb.
With a knick-knack, paddy whack, Give the dog a bone;
This old man came rolling home

I hesitate to ask, Mira – but what did the shop sell?

Well, since a dog is usually happy when it gets a bone, I suppose it could mean that in that shop, you'll find things that'll satisfy people? Every dog will get its bone!
