Hi,

Is there a term or slang for the merchandise hand-carried through airport to avoid tax (for resale purpose) ?

I wonder if you mean stuff that you are smuggling into the country? Such stuff is called 'contraband', or simply in context 'illegal stuff'. It can be in your hand luggage or in your checked bags.

Best wishes, Clive.
