This is for Chris or Hitch. I am just curious. Have you known each other for a long time?

Well, it all started back in 1952 when Hitch and I bumped into each other at an Elvis concert... no, seriously, I probably know more about him than he does of me - he happens to be one of the best DJ's on this island and (he probably won't remember this) I met him 7 years or so ago when he worked on a local radio station where I was training to become a DJ.

By the way is this personal information Hitch? Can I publish this?

Anyway, he eventually stopped due to other working commitments and I stopped because I was no good and we met properly about a year ago at the school I'm teaching at!

"Seriously"; Your favourite word. You're not pulling my leg, are you? I have the feeling that you two know each other alot better than that! By the way, what does DJ stand for?

dj = disk or (disc) jockey. A person that works on the radio or private function and announces music.

If you ask me you don't sound like the "dj" type of guy.Why did you want to become a teacher? Maybe I am getting too personal here. In any case, hitch is always around to delete any posts which are not the "right" type.

I started out as being the PA (personal assistant) to a DOS (director of studies) at a different school to the one I'm teaching at the moment. It was then that I really wanted to get into the classroom so I basically got qualified.

didn't you have to get a degree in order to teach?
chris, 6 yr 177 days ago
It's not compulsory when teaching English as a foreign language! At least it isn't in this part of the world !
