What word should be used to indicate the number that a student get as a result to be evaluated  in an school exam?

Hi,
Some people say 'grade', some say 'mark'. 'Note' is not correct.

'Grade' commonly refers to a letter, eg A, B, C.

'Mark' refers only to a number.
