Hello teachers!
I've wrote an introduction for my final essay.
Definately, there are grammar mistakes here!
Please correct them and if you have better senternce,
that's always welcomed!
Thanks in advance!

1. Introduction

In this final course essay, I want to analyse two media to compare the differences of their own characteristics. One is the poem "Daddy" written by Sylvia Plath in October 1962, the American poet and novelist. Other is the movie "World Trade Center" released in August, 2006. I chose "Daddy" because the poet underwent traumatic experience by his father which made this mean and brutal poem. The reason I chose the movie "World Trade Center" is that 9.11 was a terrible disaster for the American citizens and even to the world. In this sense, those two are the best representing examples for personal trauma and mass trauma each.

2. What is trauma?

The term "trauma" originally meant that an injury to the body caused by violence, heat, electricity, chemicals or similar agent. However, in 1980, the American Psychiatric Association formally designated the term trauma as a kind of psychopathy. It's due to the fact that the number of Vietnam veteran have been increasing who suffered from mental disorders after serving the War. Nowadays, trauma generally indicates psychological disorder which is the result of extremely stressful events that shatter your sense of security, making you feel helpless and vulnerable in a dangerous world.
