"Me and my friends shall go to the ball."
"My friends and I shall go to the ball."
Which one is correct? Let's check by eliminating "and my friends" and "my friends and."
"Me shall go to the ball." Sounds like Tarzan.
"I shall go the ball." This makes perfect sense.
So, "my friends and I" is the correct version.
