Could you please check the following sentences for grammar mistakes, word choice, and syntax?

Writing a story, to some extent, is a magical experience. Unlike in real life, we are in control of both the present and the future. Our imagination, flowing through the ink of our pens, breaths life into characters, shapes their experiences, sends them anywhere in the universe, triggers a series of turbulent events, challenges their strength, and assists them in solving their problems. Even though we, as writers, have absolute power over the destiny of our characters, many times we reach a standstill for story writing encompasses a great number of components such as insightful and clear thoughts, precise support, well-developed characters, effective diction, unified events, controlled and varied syntax, grammar.

This is why "the author’s chair" is such a precious part of our writing process. It enables my friend  and I to share our stories with each other, to give and receive feedback, to learn from each other, and to self-assess our writing, which always can be improved.

Thank you very much

Sounds nice to me.

In Japan today even dogs are learning how to bow-wow in English.
