Hi there,

I ran into the words "growth share" which is defined as  two things.

The first definition is that "one of the shares in companies that increase in value quickly, rather than those that pay high dividends."

I think I understand what that means.

The thing is the second definition that is related to mutual funds:  " in mutual funds, shares whose value rises in relation to the rise in value of the fund".

I am wondering whether the "growth share" in second definition is the same as "growth stock fund", which I understand  is a type of fund that people invest money to the "growth share" in the first definition.

I think this is not easy question unless you are interested in the mutual funds.

Still I hope if you have any idea, would you please tell me some?

Thanks a lot~!!

A mutual fund is a group buy of stocks.

E.g. Spyder buys stock in the 500 companies that comprise the S&P 500 list.

So, I imagine that the growth shares in a mutual fund are the stocks whose value rises more than the others.
