Is it edible? Is it delicious?

Yes, you can hold one of these in your hands.

Do you think if I need a basin to hold all of these?Stick out tongue

Is it primarily useful? Decorative?

Do you tend to find it indoors? In a particular room? Kitchen? Bedroom? Bathroom? Living room?

Yes, I'd say it is primarily useful, but some are very decorative.

Well, indoors is where you usually find them, but I'd say most spend at least a little time outdoors.

At my house, the least likely place to find one of these is in the bathroom.

Yep, maybe we should open a new "neat" thread.
Anyway, sorry Amy, but I had to cheat... for two reasons. First, because I wanted to see if cheating was actually a feasible thing to do, and second because I already know I don't know your word. Stick out tongue

Is it made up of two parts, like a compound noun?

No, a basic one of these would not really be thought of as being "made up of different parts". If you got a very fancy or expensive one, then there might be a couple of extra doodads on it, I suppose.

It is not a compound noun either.

It is not edible.  If you tried to eat one of these, I doubt that it would do you any harm, but I certainly would not expect it to taste good.
I'd say most people have special containers that hold a lot of these.  Smile
It is possible to hold quite few of these in your hand.

Here's another bonus tip about the letters:Wink

If you add a D to the end of the word, it becomes the past participle of a verb.

Does it require batteries?

Is it made mostly of wood? Of metal? Or maybe glass?

Nope, they don't need batteries.

They're not made of wood per se, but wood is usually the raw material used to make them.
No metal, no glass.

And don't forget my clues about the letters! Smile

This means that your word begins with "E" (E _ _ _ _ _ _ E), right?

Do paper & cardboard have something to do with it?
