'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master-- that's all.'

It's an abstract noun but not an animal, vegetable nor mineral.

Is it some sort of attribute/quality humans can have?

A man can do only what he can do. But if he does that each day he can sleep at night and do it again the next day. (A. Schweitzer)

It is countable.

It isn't an attribute/quality, but humans can have it.

It's a thing.

If it is a concrete object, then its composition must be of animal, vegetable or mineral origin.

If by mineral you mean, neither animal nor vegetable; inorganic: mineral matter. Then i think it could be. But more specifically, it is being engineered.

Thanks for the detail, Grace.  (For your information, the question, "Is it animal, vegetable or mineral?" is the traditional first question in the game, 'Twenty Questions', and it refers to the material of which the object is made.  All concrete objects are ultimately composed of one or a combination of these sources.  For instance, an iPod is mineral, a shoe is animal -- if it is made of leather, of course -- and a cotton shirt is vegetable.)
