Is it a kind of tool?

Do they exist all around the world?

They're concrete objects, right?  Yes

Does your word refer to a collection of things? Yes, that is usually the case.

Do you have some in your house?  Well, this noun has more than one meaning. The meaning I had in mind is a very common one, and these things can often be found inside a house.  They are also commonly found outside in most places.  You might not see them outside in places that are extremely hot or extremely cold.

Smile

EDIT:

Please note the correction in the number of letters!  It should be 7.  Embarrassed

Is it a kind of tool? No

Do they exist all around the world? In most places (see my response to Tanit's questions)

Oops! I've just noticed that I made a mistake when I told you how many letters the word has!  The word has 7 letters. Sorry!

Since I made such a bad mistake, I'll give you a bonus clue:

The singular version of this word has only 4 letters.

(That should be a HUGE help.)

structure

I imagine there is more than one appropriate response

 Hi Anon

There is only one word that is correct in this round of the game.  I chose a specific word for this round of Guess My Word, and the current word is 7 letters long. Players have to ask questions in order to figure out the latest "mystery word".

Structure is not the word. Were you perhaps looking at the first page of this thread rather than the last page?  (The last page is the most recent page.)

By the way, how about registering?  It's difficult to tell one anonymous poster from another. Wink

Is it something that should stay in one place? or is it something that can be carried?

Well, these things usually stay in one place for a while.  There is often a little bit movement, but not enough that you could say these things have actually changed location.  However, there comes a point in time when these things do change location permanently.  It is not unusual for this "permanent relocation" to happen after about six months.

Yes, they can be carried, and you can carry many more than one at a time.

Are they inanimate objects or plants?

If you keep 'plants' in mind, I think you'll soon solve this puzzle. Smile
