One day, a guru foresaw in a vision what he would be in his next life.
Hi,
Does "vision" in the above mean fantasy, illusion, or dream to you? Thanks.

Without true love, life is meaningless and worthless since our physical world is nothing but a dream. ~~Angliholic~~簡瑞達

None of those. Here's what the dictionary says:
An experience in which a personage, thing, or event appears vividly or credibly to the mind, although not actually present, often under the influence of a divine or other agency.

Thanks, Huevos.
But I still can't pinpoint the meaning of "vision" in question. Could you give me a synonym or two so that I can grasp its meaning? Thanks again.

Imagine being able to see an event before it happened. A bit like a hallucination with all the realism but in this case instead of the image being produced by the subject it is, supposedly, transmitted to the mind astrally from an outside source, possibly from another plane if you believe in such things.
