Hello

"Those who had ever had to recover even a small amount of money, know very well how difficult and thankless this task is."

Is it alright to write "had ever had" or maybe "has ever had"?

thanks

If your sentence entirely refers to the past and is viewed from the point of you of the past.

Now this would be OK?
