What does it mean by "has not lost its taste" as in following sentence?

Toyota's exit addes to F1 woe

Just days after the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi showed that Formula One has not lost its taste for flagrant financial excess, the series has once again run head first into economic reality.

 Hi,

What does it mean by "has not lost its taste" as in following sentence?

Toyota's exit addes to F1 woe

Just days after the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi showed that Formula One has not lost its taste for flagrant financial excess, the series has once again run head first into economic reality.

If I have a taste for something, it means I have a liking for it. In other words, I like it.

If I l have lost my taste for something, it means I don't have a liking for it anymore. In other words, I don't like it anymore.

If I have not lost my taste for something, it means I still have a liking for it. In other words, I still like it.

Your sentence means that the Formula One organizers still like flagrant financial excess.

Best wishes, Clive
