Dear teachers

a) Do you want to have a class moan about each assignment, spreading the negative feelings about doing the work?

b) It's one thing to be punished, and another to be in trouble and have everyone know about it.

c) People are always self-conscious when they have guests visit their home.

d) I doubt there's a person in America who hasn't had someone smack their lips or roll their eyes at him or her during one or another.

What does have mean in the above sentences? Does it mean "to own or possess?"

Can I say,"It really hurts when you have someone punch you in the head," or " You should be grateful to have her take care of you after being through so many rough times?"

Thanks billions!!
