Hi all,

Which one is right?

1. I have informed him to respond to your email.Have you got it?/ Did you get it?

2. Instead of using "lunch time" or "dinner time", Can I use "eat time" or "eating time" or "time for eat"?

Thanks,

Fizzi

1. I have asked him to respond to your email.  Have you got it?/ Did you get it?/Have you received it?

2. Instead of using "lunch time" or "dinner time", Can I use "eat time" or "eating time" or "time for eat"? -- No.  You can, however, use 'meal time'.

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master-- that's all.'

Thanks Mister Micawber.

Did you say that " I have informed him" was wrong? Can you please explain it to me?

Regards,

Fizzi

This structure-- 'I have informed him to respond'-- is wrong.  Some choices:

I have told/asked him to repond
I have informed him that he ought to/should/must respond.
I have suggested/required/demanded that he respond
