    Good day! I have been puzzled on the correctness of this statement from a certificate that I read: "for having been successfully completed..."
    Could someone help me pinpoint the error on this phrase. Thanks.

It looks quite correct to me. "For" here is a preposition, so you need the verb in the -ing form (gerund). We lack the context, though  Sad [:(]  What has been successfully completed? What is the grammatical context of the "for"?
