Dear Teachers,

1.– Would you like to go to the movies tonight?
-………………………………to go to the pictures…………….?

-Which sentence is more natural?

2.It’s time to have a real heart to heart with your guy.
-What does “heart to heart” mean here?

3.He suggests that we should put our relationship on hold.
-“Put something on hold” means “postpone or delay something”, right?

4.He does not want to burden anyone with his troubles.
-This means “ he doesn’t want to make anyone a burden with his troubles”, right?

5.What does “Jambalaya” mean?

6.– He does not want to put me through more troubles.
-This means “ he doesn’t want to make me incur or bear more troubles”, right?

Thanks a lot to Teachers,

 Stevenukd.
