Dear Sir or Madam,
RE: Internship at Schott AG
With this letter I want to apply for an internship in your company. It should last at least 20 weeks from August 2005 to February 2006 and be focused on the field of Industrial Engineering.
I am 22 years old and I study at a German University of Applied Science, majoring in Production and Automation Engineering. I just finished my Basic Studies with an avarage grade of 1,68. The internship I apply for will be in the fifth semester of my studies, which will last four years alltogether.
I am mostly interested in taking part in some of the following working fields:
- planing, calculation and construction of production equipments
- planing, control and automation of production flows
- work preparation and quality management
As you can see in my CV I have already gathered considerable practical work experience in some of these and other fields. Furthermore I have gained a wide knowledge in computerized environments through my private interest. Additionally to my studies I work as a volunteer in the laboratory for Material Flows and Robotics of our University. The focus of our project is the simulation of a real transportion system in the simulation environment eM-Plant.
I am confident that I can be an active, open minded and ambitious member of your team, willing to contribute to your company during my internship. In completing an internship in Malaysia I see outstanding chances not only to gain new working skills but also to experience an interesting culture and country. The Southeast-Asian region fascinates me since my first visit two years ago. This year I already have been travelling 5 weeks across Indonesia. My English skills are good, beeing able to communicate fluently also about technical topics.
Hoping that my application sounds interesting to you, I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
