Do these sentences share the completely same meaning?

1)He helped me climb the stairs by propping me up with his shoulder.

2)He helped me to climb the stairs by propping me up with his shoulder.

Thanks in advance.

The to is optional in that pattern.  Exactly the same meaning with or without it.
