Palin's announcement has fueled speculation that she may be considering running for president in 2012.


here "she may be considering runing ". does it gramatically correct.? because i studied that we don't use -ing after -ing.

if it is correct. could you give the explanation by gramatically?

" running for president in 2012" is a non-finite ing-clause acting as OBJECT of the main verb consider. It has the same function as noun in this sentence.
