"apocalypse" is pronounced "uh-pock-uh-lips"...the a's in that word sound like short 'u' sounds instead of 'a' sounds.

"address" is a little more complicated, as there are 2 perfectly acceptible ways to say it, depending on where in the USA you live and/or personal preference. Both are equally recognizable all over, though.

One way is "uh-DRESS" (the capitalization shows which syllable gets the emphasis).

The other way is "A-dress" with the 'a' sound being a short 'a' sound, like in the word "add." Again, the capitalization tells you which syllable gets the stress.

Hope it helps.
