Hi, my name is Carmen Gloria.  I am a teacher and I am from Osorno, a city in the South of Chile.  Chile is a beautiful country, it's very long and narrow (take a look at a map) and that's why we have different climates.  It's rainy and cold where I live, but only in winter.  During the summer it becomes warmer.

Thanks for replying. I'm from the Philippines.Composed of more than 7000 islands. My country is known as " Pearl of the Orient". Philippines was discovered by Magellan and colonized by Spaniards for 333 years.

Climate:
Tropical marine; northeast monsoon (November to April); southwest monsoon (May to October).

Terrain:
Mostly mountains with narrow to extensive coastal lowlands.

And we are popularly known as "The texting capital of the world."

We have good beaches and beautiful views.

What else do you wanna know bout my country? Im excited hearing more about Chile.

Well, I don't know if you have seen Chile on the map, it's so long and narrow and that's why people from the south are very different from people from the north.  We have totally different types of food and music.  We dress differently too.  It's hot in the north and cold in the south.  I live in the Lakes District (or region), actually the country is divided into regions.  I live in the 10th regions and there are 13 starting from the north.

Our typical food is 'cazuela', a stew with meat, potatoes, squash, green beans and a little bit of rice.  We also eat 'empanadas', which we eat in September, we celebrate Independence day on September 18th.
