With his handsome face, his fiery glance, his strong body, his purple and gold cloak, and his air of destiny.

Could you paraphrase "air of destiny"? (I can sense it, but don't know how to express)

Thanks in advance!

With his handsome face, his fiery glance, his strong body, his purple and gold cloak, and his air of destiny, he moved through the parting crowd toward the Dog's kennel.

Question No. 1. Could you paraphrase "air of destiny"? (I can sense it, but don't know how to express)

Question No. 2. Why is a capitalized D needed in Dog's kennel?

Thanks in advance!

(P.S. I was editing my original post, but it showed up things like "permission expired".        Sorry

"Air of destiny" = his supreme self-assurance and confidence

Without more context, it is not possible to be absolute as to why "Dog" is spelled with a capital letter. What is the background to the sentence?

p.s. I have found the source. The philosopher Diogenes is living in a kennel, Alexander approaches, and an unimpressed Diogenes tells him to stand aside as he is blocking the light.

The language is archaic, and the use of "D" is consistent with that, as is the capitalisation of "Cynicism" in your other post.

What is the background to the sentence?

It's about Diogenes and Alexander
