hello Deepa
Homosexual marriages is something odd and unnatural.  As there should be an opposite sex which is natural (intimate of male and female) I afraid of such kind of  people who are Homosexual.
what do u think?
Bye

Don't you think that heterosexual marriages are also  unnatural? I do think so, but I don't object to people getting married.

I can't see any problem with homosexual marriages.  They are not second class citizens, so they must have the same rights as the rest of the population.

....that is, the union of male and female to propogate the species.

is it really only that!  does it only have the function of propogate the spieces.

also in animal spieces you have gay couples, gay oriontated sexual actions.  moslty it is used for dominate over other male. especially in apes.

its pure nature! is not only function to propogate the spieces.

Tom

Its  wonderful what you said. It is people like you that should be; not the close minded, that lookup to one person for answers, that are.

At the end of the day mate, this is the type of topic in which EVERYBODY will have a completely different outlook on the whole thing-even if they are on the same side. I think there is nothing wrong with homosexual parentage because why should certain people be discriminated against because of the way they fell. Why should they, as free independent, working human beings not be allowed to experience the joy of parentage? Is this no different to rascism or any other sort of discrimination?

Take care to write "essay", rather than "assey", Anon.

In my opinion it doesn't exist a "natural law". In this world EVERYTHING is cultural. (During  the Roman Empire or among greek philosopher omosexuality was really greatly accepted.)  If two persons love each other it doesn't matter their sex, but only their love. It should exist a kind of solidarity among the human being, but the every-day facts show that this is only a dream... A marriage among member of the same sex coul really damage anyone??? NO. This answer should be enough.

Okay - let's talk about Gallup polls:

The LATEST figures (from April 2005) show that 68% of the people surveyed are AGAINST same-sex marriage.  The 'almost even' numbers from 2004 appear to have been skewed data - since most polls support the public opposing same-sex marriage in the 60% - 80% range (depending on poll methodology and demographics).

Therefore, the original statement in this thread is correct - the majority of Americans oppose it.
