We call it "remnant image" in Chinese,
I'm wondering how you call this phenomenon in english?

Many thanks!

I'm not aware of a specific term for this exact type of thing in common usage, but many similar visual tricks are called "optical illusions".

Yes, an optical illusion-- google on 'optical illusions' and you'll find all sorts of wonderful phenomena.

PS: I like 'remnant image'-- there is probably an English word for that type of optical illusion, but we'd need to consult with a neurologist or psychologist, I think.
