Two days ago, this girl said so many sweet things to me and I was touched, without doubt, by her words and actions which I had experienced when we started to date, for two days. Then, two days later, she told me that she felt sorry because she couldn't forget her former bf; and in order not to hurt me, she decided things should be better if we just broke up, and be what she called 'friends' How come women are so volatile? Can't they just think before do something? I mean, really to think about the consequences and the effects of their actions. Nevertheless, one thing out of all the good things is that I had only been dating her for two days, though I had known her for six years. Well, anyone ever felt this kind of 'hobby' from women?

Hey Recluse, Do you really think only women are that way? Have you ever had to decided whether you do what your heart wants or what your head tells you to do?

You are right. I thought that I loved her, only her alone, no one else. Well, that was what I thought. Maybe I'll change, some day... maybe the changes don't take effects on me as quick as they have done on her. I don't know. I do not deny, because I cannot foresee the furture or anything. But for now, everytime I look up at our pictures and video clips that I had taken on our second dates, I have the feeling that she is the one that must be in my life. The feeling is funny, funny of weird. I guess it's because this is my first date.

Sorry I forget to mention that I have no intention of discremination against women. It's just that I want to talk about this since it really hurts inside. Thanks for all the understandings.

You had one date, you were "dating" for only two days, and yet you were in love with her and she was the girl for you for the rest of your life... and you say WOMEN are volatile?
If any man ever said he was in love with me and wanted to spend his life with me after dating him one time, I'd run for the hills!
Relax! Use dating as a chance to get to know someone, not as the way to cement your entire future together.

Barbara, who answers in American English. My housekeeping skills attest to the truth of the second law of thermodynamics: Left to themselves, things get more and more random!

We usually think that the other person isn't "suffering" but I suppose the truth is that they are, maybe more. Thing is that if she was the first one, you will never forget her, hehe!

I don't know whether I am premature or...maybe even a bit freaky. To be honest, I'd been loving her solely since...don't laugh... third grade of elementary school. Well, I guess I am a very persistent person, it has already been seven years O_O I was kind shocked myself when I agreed to date her.(Strange enough, she offer me to be her bf first.) Ok, now it seems to be a farce. Actually, you know what, I think I'll feel better off if this is a farce. Anyways, thanks for all the replies upon the topic of the thread, ( I don't think 'thanks in advance' is the good way to say after I read The Element of Style)

well. i once remember one of HK writers said that woman is like water, if you treat her over warm, she will be alway, if you treat her over cold, she will be frozen.. unrequited love for years doesn't have to mean he or she is persistantly royal, probably they haven't found a better one... Just think a minute...

It's an 'ingredient' in the make up of girls/women. As the nursery rhyme goes... Girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice, Boys are made from snails and puppy dog tails. Even seen a kid that's had too much sugar? They're overly hyperactive and unsupportable. As for the spice part, there are many spices that will burn you going in (as in your mouth) and coming out (I won't go into details about this part ) Try a great Indian curry for example. It all depends on the spice that was added at creation. But seriously from what you have said, this girl is seriously confused about her own emotions and her volatility is not likely to change any time soon, until at least she knows what she really wants. Age is often a factor in this, as well as insecurities. This has happened to all, including myself. Don't worry!
