Do you mean the machine that turns whole potatoes into chips before frying?  I think it's called a "chipper" or "potato chipper".

Hi,

I'd just like to add a small comment about How do you call a machine that makes french fries?

This is incorrect English. You need to say What do you call a machine that makes french fries?

This is a common error. It sounds 'very wrong'.

Best wishes, Clive

Hi,

Yes, if I understand correctly what you are asking me.

What do you call  . . .

Of course, there are also things like

When do you call  . . .

Who do you call  . . .

Best wishes, Clive
