1. How do you go to school? I go to school by bus.

2. How is the weather today? It's fine.

In #1, how is an interrogative adverb.

In #2, is how an interrogative adjective?

No, it's an adverb too:  "2. In what state or condition: How is she today?"

Then there is such a thing as a predicate adverb (in addition to predicate nouns and predicate adjectives)?
I've always thought so, and I've always wondered why the grammar books seem to restrict the possibilities after a linking verb to noun or adjective.

She is fine.  (She is how?)  How is she?

I understand your answer, but how do you define an interrogative adjective?
What are your criterions?
