My questions are: Should I (or must I) take the tweltfth grade or, graduate from grade 11, apply and take the required exams (SAT or ACT)?

And should I take American History seeing how im applying for an American school?

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Hello,

I'm a tenth grade student from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where the school curriculum doesn't include grade 12. I would be grateful if you could help me with some questions.

Should I (or must I) take grade 12, or can I graduate from grade 11 and then take the required exams (SAT or ACT)?

Should I take American History, since I am applying to an American school?

Yours sincerely,

Daniel _ _ _ _ _ _

Daniel, I'm very surprised that your school does not have a guidance counsellor who can help you with these common and simple questions. I thought all Canadian schools had counsellors. Why don't you just ask your high-school teachers?

Best wishes, Clive

yeah go ahead. 'sincerely', 'faithfully' ... It's not gonna matter. It's all humbug or hype, if you ask me. But they say that if you don't know who you are addressing personally( like in your case) you should say 'faithfully'. But if you address someone as Dear Mr or Mrs so and so then you should use 'sincerely'. that's oxford for you lad ! Emotion: smile

Hi,

Im writing a letter starting

To whom it may concern...

how should i end this?

There are not a lot of situations in which it would be a good idea to start a letter with 'To whom it may concern'. Can you please give us an idea of what kind of letter you want to write? That way, we can give you better advice about how to end it.

Best wishes, Clive

Hi,

The most common ending is 'Yours sincerely'.
