Hello,

which is impossible? (Is there any difference in meaning?)

1) How long have you had the computer?

2) How long have you the computer?

-------------------

1) How long have you known Peter?

2) How long do you know Peter?

-------------------------------

1) How long have you been here?

2) How long are you here?

------------------------

Dear Mowgli,

It is possible to say: how long are you here for?

It means: how long do you intend to stay in this place?

Kind regards, Smile [:)]
