“No it is like "I" as in the word "kind"”
Is that pronunciation correct even for the character "Little My"?

Wikipedia has:

Little My (Swedish: Lilla My, Finnish: Pikku Myy) is a character in the Moomin series of books by Tove Jansson.

It gives the pronunciation /my/, which is similar to ee in keep, but rounded, but that may be the Swedish pronunciation.
