What do you spend your money on? Do you think just of yourself or do you donate money?

I think that teenagers in Norway are sometimes unaware of how lucky they are. We have a lot of things, a lot of money and a family. We don’t appreciate all of these things. When I think about teenagers in Africa and South-America, who don’t have all of these things, I just start thinking about what I really use my money on. It’s not important things like food, it’s things like candy and sodas and chocolate. All of those things that others can’t afford and that’s unhealthy.

I get 100 NKR each week. All those money are gone in a half week. But when I think back on what I spent them on, I really don’t understand why I bought all of that stuff. It’s really unnecessary. Instead of spending the money on things that I don’t need, I could have donated them to someone who needs them. Someone who’s not that fortunate as us. Teenagers in for example Africa, struggle for life with maybe only 10 NKR each month, while I’m complaining on that I don’t have enough money. I don’t have a job, but I get my money from my mom. African teenagers have bad paid jobs and they don’t get any money from their parents. Is that really fair? If teenagers in Norway start spending less money on them selves and more on others, the world could have been a better place for everyone.

I’m not saying that you should donate all of your money, but something. When I get a little older and get a job I will start donating money to Africa or Asia. As long as it’s for a good cause. And as long as I know where my money goes. It’s really important that you don’t use all your money on crap!

Money isn’t really important. Family and friends are more important. Money is just something you have for a while, but friends and family is something you have for life. So stop using so much money!
