Hi everybody,

Suppose I have given a topic and I have been told to speak about the topic, how do I start and finish the speech formally?

Is it ok?

Starting: Respected sir, madam and honourable chief guest. Good morning to everybody...

Finishing: that's all from me. Thank you

that's the end of my speech. Thank you. or

that's the end of my session. Thank you or

that's the time I have got. Thank you

Hello;
It is good to begin a formal speech by recognizing the important people - in the audience or on the stage with you, or those who invited you to speak.

Your ending should be part of the speech, not announced.

For example:

In conclusion, I would like to say that the advances that we have made in developing this new widget are only the beginning of a future successful product line for our company. I believe that next year, when I speak to you again, I will be able to show you some exciting new features from our research lab department. Thank you.
