I got this letter from London:

Thank you for your application regarding the position......
We are pleased to invite you to attend a Preliminary selection process.

Please confirm your attendance for the preliminary interview on e-mail
as soon as possible quoting your reference number and date and place of interview.

My response:

Thank you for the invitation for preliminary interview.
I am pleased to inform you that i will attending the preliminary selection process.

Date:abc
Venue:abc

Yours sincerely

abc

Is this correct and polite?
Have somebody a better idea?

looks ok but don't forget the reference number as well.

...it should be I will attend and not I will attending.

Oops, my apologies, I read the letter too quickly to spot this.

It can be either
I will attend
or
I will be attending
