Is it better to use here Past Continuous or leave as it is.

Dear Ania,
My holidays passed very quickly. I wasn't bored for sure. I met with friends, rode the bike and roller bladed. I went to the pool and I was at the seaside! When the sun shone strongly I sunbathed.

Hi,

Simple Past seems fine here.

Best wishes, Clive

Clive: What about
1. Past Perfect or
2. (would+V2): I would ride...

Just curious as to whether they are also feasible...

Hi,

1. Past Perfect Not a good idea for the paragraph we are looking at. generally, it's a  common error to use Past Perfect when Simple Past is better.

2. (would+V2): I would ride... Yes, that's OK, if you want to write about 'past habits/routines'.

Best wishes, Clive

Yes, or imagining a scene in the past.
