can't pretend this isn't happening.
It happened when my heart just wasn't
paying attention.
I fell in love without warning.
Now I'm somewhere between nowhere
and a broken heart.
You did nothing wrong.
You said nothing to lead me on.
I can't pretend the time we spend together
doesn't send my heart soaring,
Soaring high above the heaven's skies.
I can't pretend our hearts connecting
and our souls embracing are not real,
As I lie in your arms feeling
your breath on my body.
Yet I know more than friends we cannot be,
And friends we did become, instantly,
For I know, another holds your heart,
Another owns your love.
Still...
I can't pretend I haven't fallen.
Chances are, through this truth,
Through my confession to you,
I will lose, with you,
What we both admit we have found and share.
It's something I can't hide.
I can't pretend it doesn't exist,
Something I'm frightened to say,
