I see. I never had gold stars when I was a kid but I got many As and stars. Teachers here usually
draw stars instead of stick paper stars to represent well done.
Thanks for the explanation Avangi. By the way, what if the assignment is good but doesn't deserve a gold star, do you

A symbolic reward for doing well!!!  Like a championship trophy, but more modest!  Just a little bit of gold paper cut out in the form of a star.
