Hi everyone,

In business situations, for example during a talk by phone,
is it general to say "I better get going / I better run"?

To me, it seems that instead of those expression, thses expression like "I'd better get going / I'd better run" should be used.
What do you think about that?

"I better" has worked its way into today's growing variety of colloquialisms - "I'd better" which, by extension, is "I had better" is, ahem, better English, but both are valid simply because both are understood as the same thing.
