Hello,

I'd like to know your opinion about wheteher the following sentences mean the same:

1. When I started playing American football, I was so inexperienced I couldn’t pass the ball well.

2. I didn’t  have a clue about how to  pass the ball when I started playing American football.

I think  the word WELL should be omitted from the first sentence to make the sentences mean the same.
