Hi,
Please, help me with the following questions:
- began to listen (or) began listening (?); Both are OK.
- I remember of my life (or) I recall of my life (here is it correct to add the preposition 'of')? ; These verbs take a direct object, so omit 'of' here.
- Many teenagers (or) a lot of teenagers surf the internet nowadays (?); Both are OK.
- Reading is good for (or) reading is good to the young (?); 'For'. In simple terms, something that is good for you gives you a benefit, and someone who is good to you "takes care of you" in some way.
- It's important they know life isn't a game (is there any grammar mistake here ?); No.
- A young has to know his rights and responsibilities (is it correct to write a young ?); No, 'young' is an adjective here. Say 'a youth' or 'a young person'.
- Many youngs work under illegal conditions all over the world (is it correct to write many youngs ?). See above.
Best wishes, Clive
