My essay is about gangs. The title is gangs. The thesis statement is "Gangs seem to be increasing in size as well as increaasing in crime rates do to the use of weapons, smuggling, robbery, drugs, and homicide. Is this a good thesis for my topic?

It's not quite clear at the moment.

1. By 'gangs are increasing in size', do you mean 'gangs are getting bigger'
or 'there are more gangs'?

2. Do you mean that gang crime is responsible for a big increase in crime rates,
especially in relation to illegal weapons, smuggling, robbery, drug-peddling,
drug-related crime, and homicide?
