When labeling a photograph in a picture album - of you and a friend, for example, would you say "Samantha and me" or "Samantha and I" or "Samantha and myself"?

I'd go for 'me', not 'I'.
Going back to definitions, you'd find 'me' is used as an object whereas 'I' is used as a subject.
In your case since it is not a complete sentence it is hard to say whether we're dealing with a subject or object.
But it is likely that what you mean is "(This is a picture of) Samantha and me" with the first part obviously implied and not spoken/written ; in which case what we have here is indeed an object.
Hope all this makes sense ?

I'd use me as well.

Definitely NOT myself (this does not mean me/I)

Well, actually, if we are following strictly grammar rules we'd have to say: "Samantha and I"...

However I don't think your friends are gonna blame you if you'll say: "Samantha and Me"

'Samantha and I' would be correct according to the so called rules of grammer and syntax but my experience is that it sounds toffy-nosed when used in general and 'Samantha and me' sounds far warmer and more personal

Just for clarification, mister/missis Question, this all depends on whether you meant to say :
"Samantha and I (were on the beach when this picture was taken)"
or
"(This is a picture of) Samantha and me (when we were on the beach)"
It seems natives (see above) would have a preference for number 2.

I would second Waiti.

What you would use would depend on the context. If someone asked "Whose pictures are these on the beach", you would say "Samantha and me" because it completes the sentence, this is a picture of Samantha and me on the  beach.

If someone asked, who broke the window pane and if both of you happen to be the culprits, you would reply - "Samantha and I" because it completes the sentence - Samanta and I broke the the glass pane. To say that "Me broke the glass pane" would be incorrect and hence in this case you would not reply with "Samantha and Me"

The answer is based on something I read to this effect long back and more aware grammarians are free to correct me if I am wrong.

Hello Questions

If the label is intended for you, you know who you are already. So you only need to put "Samantha".

If the label is intended for other people, on the other hand, neither "I" nor "me" will be much use.

So I'd put "Samantha and Questions". (If "Questions" is indeed your name.)
