Which one is the correct answer if ''I prefer books etc'' is PS(as it's something that repeats itself).
I prefer books to food.
I prefer to read books to eat food.

OR..

I prefer reading books to eating food.

I prefer books to food.
I prefer reading books to eating food.

To is a preposition and takes a gerund.
